Russian Ministry of Defense published 2 video with the deployment of reserves in the Kursk region

The Russian Ministry of Defense demonstrated footage of the deployment of reserves in the Kursk region. 

The Russian defense department clarified that the columns are moving to build up forces that are actively fighting with Ukrainian militants in the Sudzhansky district of the region.

The Russian Ministry of Defense clarified that the marching columns include Grad MLRS combat vehicles, tanks transported on trawls, towed artillery, heavy tracked vehicles, as well as Ural and KamAZ vehicles.

Earlier it was reported that the approaching reserves, together with units of the North group of troops, stopped attempts at raids by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk direction.

  1. The Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday that it was building up forces, who were engaged in active hostilities against Ukrainian formations in the Sudzha district of the Kursk Region, by sending tanks and other heavy tracked military equipment there.
    "The columns marching to the areas of the tasks include the BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher systems, towed artillery guns, tanks transported on trawls, heavy tracked vehicles, Ural and KamAZ vehicles," the ministry said in a statement.
    The ministry also posted a footage showing the movement of the military equipment toward the Kursk Region.

  5. 12 people injured by shelling in the Kursk region are in serious condition. This was announced by Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko.

    55 victims are undergoing hospital treatment, including eight children. Outpatient care was provided to 20 patients, including two children.

  6. Russia has informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) about the situation at the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant in light of Ukraine’s attempted attack on the Kursk Region, Russia’s Permanent Mission to the International Organizations in Vienna said.

    "On August 8, fragments and remnants - presumably, pieces of intercepted rockets - were discovered at the plant, including in the radioactive waste processing area. So far, there’s been no direct shelling of the town of Kurchatov, NPP or energy infrastructure facilities. However, the situation remains tense," the mission said on its Telegram channel.

    The mission noted that "Ukraine’s reckless actions are threatening not only the Russian nuclear facility but also the entire global nuclear industry.".
