US President Donald Trump has once again warned that the United States will destroy all power plants and bridges in Iran should it refuse to make a deal.
ReplyDelete"We’re offering a very fair and reasonable deal, and I hope they take it because, if they don’t, the United States is going to knock out every single power plant, and every single bridge, in Iran," he wrote on his Truth Social platform.
"It will be my honor to do what has to be done, which should have been done to Iran, by other Presidents, for the last 47 years," he added.
Destroying Iran’s power plants and bridges by the United States will not constitute a war crime as Iran uses this infrastructure for dual military purposes, US Permanent Representative to the United Nations Mike Waltz said.
ReplyDeleteIran has not yet made a decision on sending a delegation for negotiations with the United States, Iran’s Tasnim News Agency reported on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteThe Iranian side also reportedly stressed that talks with Washington will not take place as long as the maritime blockade imposed by the US remains in force.
Communication between Iran and the United States is currently ongoing through a Pakistani intermediary, the news agency reported.
US President Donald Trump said on Sunday his envoys would return to Pakistan for new talks with Iran, while threatening new attacks on Iran’s bridges and power plants unless it accepts his terms.
ReplyDeleteTrump said the US delegation would arrive on Monday evening, a timetable that leaves just a day for talks to make progress before a two-week ceasefire ends.
The commander of the aerospace forces of the IRGC stated that Iran is now producing even more missiles and strike drones than before the war.
ReplyDeleteHe also noted that the US cannot ramp up production as quickly and is forced to import missiles for air defense from all over the world.
Iran stated that its absence from the second round of talks stems from what it called Washington's excessive demands, unrealistic expectations, constant shifts in stance, repeated contradictions, and the ongoing naval blockade, which it considers a breach of the ceasefire.
