US Senate Democrats to force eighth vote on War Powers Resolution

US Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer announced that the legislative body will force an eighth vote on a War Powers Resolution this week, aiming to curb Trump’s ability to wage war on Iran.

Posting on X, Schumer wrote: “This week, for the EIGHTH time, Senate Democrats are forcing a vote on our War Powers Resolution to withdraw our troops from hostilities with Iran.”

He called on Senate Republicans to pass the resolution, end the war, and “get our troops out of harm’s way”.
