A major oil terminal in Russia's second city of St Petersburg in the north-west was struck overnight by Ukraine, Zelensky has said.
St Petersburg Governor Aleksandr Beglov said the city was under a "massive" drone attack, admitting the oil terminal was hit. He reported no casualties.
The Ukrainian armed forces attempted to attack Russia with Flamingo cruise missiles in the early morning hours of July 4, the Defense Ministry reported.
"Early on July 4, 2026, the Kiev regime attempted a combined strike on the Russian territory using long-range Flamingo cruise missiles, US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, and long-range drones," the statement said.

Ukraine attacked an oil terminal at the port of St. Petersburg early morning, Russian officials claimed Saturday.
St. Petersburg Gov. Aleksandr Beglov said the city came under a large-scale Ukrainian drone attack and that air defenses shot down 72 drones. One drone crashed in the Peterhof area.
"The strike hit an oil terminal in the city's Kirovsky District. The aftermath has been cleared. There were no casualties," Beglov said.
Governor Beglov said that 72 Ukrainian drones were shot down over St Petersburg and the wider Leningrad region.

Russia's air defenses shot down over 500 aerial targets during the repulsion of a Ukrainian strike, also including nine HIMARS rockets, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Saturday.
"During the repulsion of the attack on the night and morning of July 4, Russian air defense forces shot down more than 500 aerial targets, including: 10 Flamingo long-range cruise missiles, nine US-made HIMARS rockets in the Belgorod region, as well as 494 long-range unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said.
