US Central Command (CENTCOM) says it has completed a “heavy wave of strikes against Iran” following yesterday’s attempted missile attacks on American forces in Jordan.
It said in a statement that its assets struck dozens of Revolutionary Guard targets in Iran, including “military command centers, missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance and defense sites, and maritime capabilities.”
CENTCOM said the strikes aimed to “further diminish threats posed by Iran and its proxies to American forces, commercial shipping, and neighboring Gulf nations”.
CENTCOM added that more than 50,000 US service members currently deployed to the region “remain highly vigilant, focused, lethal, and ready”.

Iran’s IRIB state broadcaster reports that two people are trapped under rubble following the US strike on a residential building on Qeshm.
ReplyDeleteCiting the deputy governor of Hormozgan province, IRIB said the building in the Chah-Tango neighbourhood of Qeshm city was “hit by enemy projectiles,” and that “search and rescue operations are under way to save the trapped individuals with all available resources”.
The city of Shadegan in southwestern Iran came under a US missile attack, the Khuzestan province’s deputy governor said.

U.S. forces on Wednesday night conducted fresh strikes against Iran in retaliation for Tehran's latest attacks as the conflict widened across the region.

Earlier on Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump vowed twice that Washington would retaliate forcefully against Iran. He also said he had been briefed that an American-owned liquefied natural gas carrier at an Egyptian port was set on fire in an apparent drone attack earlier in the day.

Segnalate almeno 5 potenti esplosioni ad Ahvaz nel Khuzestan vicino al confine con l'Iraq. Vahid riporta che secondo le sue fonti sarebbe stata presa di mira una base delle Guardie Rivoluzionarie Islamiche, inoltre dopo le esplosioni era saltata la corrente.
