Israel ordered a group of about 10 British military personnel who were documenting settler violence in the West Bank to leave the country, The Telegraph reports.
The military personnel, based in Ramallah, were advising and helping to train Palestinian Authority security forces.
However, the outlet notes that in recent years they had increasingly become the "eyes and ears" of the West in the territory, sending detailed reports to London and Washington. The team had planned to quadruple its personnel soon.
According to British sources, Israeli agents routinely intercepted the team's communications. The military personnel were given seven days to leave the country.
