Massive Ukrainian drone attack on an oil terminal in St. Petersburg

The oil terminal in St. Petersburg was targeted by an attack carried out by Ukrainian drones on the night of October 17–18, announced Alexander Beglov, the governor of the Russian city.

It is one of the largest facilities in the Baltic region for the transshipment of liquid cargo. The terminal receives, stores, and distributes petroleum products, including those intended for export.

In addition to the terminal, emergency services are working to extinguish fires at civilian facilities located in various districts of the city. No casualties have been reported, the official stated.

Furthermore, he noted that, as a security measure, operations at Pulkovo Airport have been restricted.
