Protests against SpaceX over debris falling into the Gulf of Mexico

Protesters staged another maritime protest against SpaceX in the state of Tamaulipas, demanding greater protection for the country's waters, while the company conducted the 14th flight of its Starship spacecraft in the southern United States, near the border.

The protest, held under the slogan "Mexico is not SpaceX's space junkyard," took place aboard a vessel on the high seas as the demonstrators watched the launch.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has stated that her government would consider taking legal action if SpaceX launches cause environmental damage due to falling debris within national territory.
