Any attempt to exclude Russia from the global gas market will have serious consequences, above all, exorbitant costs for consumers, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned on October 27 during his address at the 8th Summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).
The event has brought together leaders and high-level representatives from the major nations that export this hydrocarbon in Moscow.
At the 8th Summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum in Moscow, the Russian President emphasized that by rejecting Russian energy resources, Europe is harming its own industry and social sector.
"He who digs a pit for others falls into it himself. In my view, that is precisely what has happened today in the countries of the European Union," Putin declared.
Putin also described the explosions at the Nord Stream pipelines as acts of terrorism and pointed out that the global gas market is facing uncertainty: supply volumes have decreased and prices are fluctuating significantly, while demand continues to rise.
