Trump has once again stated that he would pay $5,000 to every adult American if Republicans win the midterm congressional elections.
The US President had previously mentioned this payment at the Republican Party convention.
According to US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, there are ways to implement such a measure without increasing the budget deficit.
US midterm congressional elections are scheduled for November 3; the entire Senate and one-third of the House of Representatives will be up for election.
Republicans currently control both chambers, but according to various media reports, they could lose the election.
