Iran has suggested the possibility of strikes against U.S. bases in Europe

Iran could attack U.S. bases in Europe in the event of renewed aggression against the Islamic Republic, according to Iranian Member of Parliament Manouchehr Mottaki.

On October 31, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, instructed the military to respond effectively to any threats, noting that such a response should not be limited by geography.

"‘Outside the region’ means ‘locations that are being used against us.’ At present, the geographical area that falls under this definition, and there is evidence to support this, is Europe. Therefore, in the context of there being no geographical limitations, yes, it means that our missiles could reach Europe," the ISNA news agency quoted the MP as saying.

On February 28, the United States and Israel began launching strikes against targets in Iran, to which the Iranian side responded with its own strikes. In mid-June, Tehran and Washington signed a memorandum to cease hostilities; however, they subsequently exchanged further strikes. At present, the conflict remains unresolved.
